Those annoying Facebook..

..quizzes.

Facebook Quiz: Noun. Applications which ask a series of irrelevant questions so that the user would discover information about him/herself which s/he (probably) already knew. Among some of the more popular quizzes on Facebook (slowly degrading to Farcebook - ed) are:
1. How good you are in bed.
2. What your best position is in bed.
3. How many partners you would have in bed.
4. What type of bed best suits you.
5. Where would said bed be placed.
6. Do you even need a bloody bed?
7. No bed? Try...
8. Are you spending too much time on Facebook quizzes?
note: bed = sleep.

Author's commentary:
(a) Fa(r)cebook quizzes could be fun, if there were like, two of them.
(b) Fa(r)cebook quizzes are a compilation of ancient internet quizzes and random 4chan jpegs. The author left F(r)iendster when excessively colourful (and annoying) animated gifs invaded the testimonies and profile pages.
(c) The author join Fa(r)cebook for a reason: it's clean, minimalist look. Now it's a becoming a wretched hive of scum and villiany.
(d) Which reminds the author of Star Wars.. specifically, Jabba teh Hutt.
(e) The author can't sleep. That's why he's bashing social networks.

p/s. Oh, oh, look! Move the (r) from Friendster to Facebook and you get Fiendster and Farcebook. <-- Lame Joke. Please read note (e) above.

Irresponsible, F*cked-up, Malaysian...

CONTRACTORS.

Specifically, those Class-F ones who are usually tasked with repairing roads, changing light-bulbs, etc.

Why?

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, there was a Class-F contractor simply known as Eff-U. Now, Eff-U's "expertise" was changing light-bulbs of street lamps along major roads. So, one day, he was given a contract to change light-bulbs along a major highway. As soon as the contract was signed, Eff-U sent his men out to complete the task. Little did he know what would happen that day...

You see, Eff-U, in all his wisdom and idiocy, did not tell his workers that they would be working at a busy highway, the kind where 40-foot trailers, cars and speed-o-bikes were known to travel at speeds exceeding 300km/hr. Nor did he even bother to purchase warning signs or the like. Relying instead, on his "past record" of successful light-bulb changes. The workers, upon arriving at the site, decided that it would be too much hard work to go back and pester their boss to buy sign boards. Besides, they've done things like this before. So they drew lots to decide who would "redirect" traffic using a simple red flag and striped plastic cones. Mind you, they weren't even equipped with power armour or whatever, just plain cloth armour.

I'll now leave the rest to your own imagination.
*Hint: lots of blood, gore, and body parts strewn all over the place.

The End.

In some ways, Malaysians are stupid. I think the "cari makan" mentality has made us a nation of idiots, infecting each one with the notion that putting food on the table is all that matters, regardless of how it is done. The "bosses" don't seem to care about the safety of their workers, nor do the workers seem to have any common sense at all. What matters, is money. As long as there's money, it's ok, it can be done.

"Aiyah, no money, no talk-mah! We vote BN because mau cali-makan-mah! If we don't vote, they don't give us anything, how? Don't be so stoopid. Why find tlouble? If you ale lich, then all oso boleh-mah! Malaysia Boleh-mah!"

...well, f*ck you!

Note: the above story was exaggerated to make a point. Just one simple point: place warning signs BEFORE any maintenance works, not AT. And no, the blood, gore and body parts are just your own imagination.

A Filler Post

This is a "Filler Post", you know, the kind of post with no real significant impact or contribution to environmental protection, climate change, global warming, food shortages, (insert global crisis here) or etc. Well, except the electricity and net traffic, I guess.

Below is a photo taken during my trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Oh, by the way, I went for a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah from the 9-13 May 08. Had a great time, was fun, people were very friendly, (insert positive holiday comments here) and so on and so forth . Anyway, I'm Still Alive.

Kinda proud of the photo. My special someone even thought I downloaded it from the web =) Still, the other photos were relatively uninteresting. Gotta improve on composition and the artistic side of photography, then.

Which brings me to my next topic:

I seem to have always been "good" at the technical side of stuff. However, I've always seem to hit a stumbling block or so when it comes to truly "mastering" a certain something (say, photography). It's always been, er, "competent" but never, "inspiring". I guess I want to be artistic but just don't have the natural talent to..

Oh, well. Just rambling.
